What is necessary to create a bookmark with your own hands:

• a sheet of gray double-sided paper;
• black felt-tip pen;
• scissors;
• dry glue stick;
• plastic eyes or white paper;

1. Prepare the materials for work - the standard ones that are always used for paper. Often hippos are depicted as gray, so here we used a gray sheet of paper, but you can choose another color, for example, blue or brown.

2. Cut out a square from the prepared sheet of paper measuring 20 cm by 20 cm, using a corner. Or choose a size that suits you. Draw thin center lines with a pencil, which will allow you to clearly mark the center point of the square. On the sides, draw 2 corners by connecting the 2 adjacent lines drawn in pencil. 3. Cut off the side marked squares. Also remove 1 segment with scissors. This will create a piece that will need to be folded and glued together to make a corner.

4. Fold the sides and glue - you will get a gray pocket, which will become a bookmark. Now let's turn this blank into a hippo's face.

5. Cut out a wide oval nose, trace around this part with a black felt-tip pen, draw nostrils. Cut out the ears. You will also need white blanks for eyes and teeth.

6. At the top, glue the ears - small and rounded - to the back, center the nose, put the fangs under it. And don't forget about the eyes. Now the appearance of the hippo is fully assembled. He looks at us with cute eyes.
