Let's go!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83e\uddfe What we'll need<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">A4 size paper (ordinary office paper, colored paper or even notebook paper - any paper will do). You can use newspaper to make the boat camouflage and very atmospheric. \ud83d\udcf0<\/li>\n<li class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">A flat surface (table or part of the floor).<\/li>\n<li class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Good mood and a willingness to get your hands a little wet (literally - we'll be blowing a ship into the water at the end). \ud83d\udca7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Important: Do not use paper that is too thin, as it will quickly become soggy. A density of 80-100 g\/m\u00b2 is ideal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>\ud83d\udea2 Step-by-step instructions for a classic ship (steamer with two pipes)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">This variant is a little more complicated to fold than a boat, but it is more stable on the water and looks spectacular. Even a preschooler can do it with a little help from an adult.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1: Make a basic rectangle<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Lay an A4 sheet of paper vertically. Fold it in half from top to bottom to make a narrow rectangle. Iron the fold well - run your fingernail or the edge of your palm over it.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2: Fold the corners to the center<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Turn the sheet back around (you have A4 again, but now there is a fold line in the middle). Bend the top corners so that their edges meet at the center fold line. You should have something like a house with a triangular roof.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 3: Shape the lapels at the bottom<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">A rectangular strip remains underneath the triangle. Take its bottom edge and fold it up, right along the bottom side of the triangle. Turn the piece over and do the same on the other side. Now you have a hat with a triangular top and two brim.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 4. Open and flatten - a boat is born!<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Take care with this step. Grab the piece with both hands by the edges in the center and pull them apart. It will start to open up, turning into a square cup. Spread it out to make a rhombus (a square placed on a corner).<\/p>\n<h3>Step 5: Fold the top flap upward<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">You have a diamond with a pocket. Take the bottom corner of the diamond (it will face down) and fold it up to the top corner. Flip it over and do the same on the other side.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 6: The final reveal - the ship is ready!<\/h3>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">You have a triangular cap again, but smaller. Now pull the center edges to the sides again and you will have a neat ship with two pipes sticking out in the middle!
