Manigami pig is another craft that we recommend you to repeat. Usually, all three-dimensional ceramic (and not only) piggy banks are depicted in the form of pigs. In them accumulate money. This is very convenient, the accumulated amount can be spent on entertainment or some desired purchase. Here we propose to make a pig out of the money itself in the technique of manigami. Also such a handicraft will be relevant in anticipation of 2019, which will be the year of the pig.
Materials for creating the figure: 1 hundred-ruble or other denomination bill.
How to fold a piggy figure from a money bill step by step
1. Fold the pattern in half lengthwise, smooth.
2. Unfold the paper, fold in half again, but the next fold should be perpendicular to the previous one.
3. Unfold the paper. Lay out the rectangle horizontally. The bottom point marked by the previous fold will become the first mark, the top will become the second mark. It is necessary to indent the upper left corner by about 1 cm. Make the fold aslant. See how the pattern should look like on photo 3.
4. Smooth out the paper. Now you have a quadrilateral in front of you, very similar to a square, but for now there will be a protruding part at the top, which you need to fold back on itself and smooth out.
5. Fold over the corner without unfolding the top fold strip. You now have a rectangle folded across, with one side folded about 1 cm from the edge.
6. On the opposite side, also make the same fold strip.
7. Unfold the paper. In front of you is the same banknote, only it has 2 sides bent on both sides, and at opposite ends.
8. Fold the left half to the center.
9. Turn the workpiece over with the other side facing you.
10. Fold the bill in half, holding all the bends in that position.
11. Return the right side to its place again, but not completely, leaving a small crease in the center (about 1 cm).
12. Fold the piece lengthwise in half, again keeping all folds in place.
13. Unfold the paper. The previous fold along the center will become a mark, point the top and bottom sides of the bill to it. Do not forget that all folds must remain in their places.
14. Unfold the paper. Fold the bottom half so that you have a large square, 2 isosceles triangles and a double-layered rectangle in front of you. Look at photo 14 to see what this complex design looks like.
15. Unfold the paper, but leaving the previous folds in place.
16. Turn the bill over with the other side facing you and make 2 triangles at the crease, bringing the corners down.
17. Return the sides of the bottom part to their place again. In this way, follow the triangles you made in step 14.
18. Fold the top part into a house by interlocking the two corners.
19. Lift the corners up, leaving a gap (approximately 0.5 cm). You can see how the part looks like in photo 19.
20. On both sides, grasp the bill, squeeze and show a corner resembling a model airplane.
21. Hold the corner in this position and fold the workpiece lengthwise in half again.
22. Separate the corners on the right side by folding the paper inward on both sides.
23. Turn the highlighted triangles backwards, they will soon become the pig's ears.
24. Again lift the corners of the triangles so that they look up. Now you can be sure that these corners look like ears. Also press the sharp part inwards at this point to show the flat heel of the pig.
25. Move on to shaping the back. Fold the sharp corner down at a certain angle, as shown in photo 25.
26. Grasp the front of the muzzle with your fingers and press into the back of the muzzle to reveal a voluminous, thick piggy neck.
27. The animal figure is ready.
