Drawing a dog with colored pencils

In this lesson we will learn how to draw with colored pencils a cute and cheerful dog breed dachshund.

To do this, we'll need:

- colored pencils;
- eraser;
- marker/flash pen;
- a simple lead pencil.

Stages of drawing a dachshund:

1. First, draw the long body of the dog as an oblong oval.

2. Then draw two slanted ovals with a simple graphite pencil. This will be the dog's neck and head.

3. Then draw a tail on the right side of the body and paws at the bottom. It will look like a dachshund is running somewhere fast! Or maybe it saw a cat!

4. Correct the face. Draw ears, nose.

5. Remove unnecessary lines. Draw a beautiful bow on the dog's neck.

6. Use a black felt-tip pen or marker to trace all the pencil lines. In this way, we have outlined the whole picture.
