An airplane made out of a bill

Airplane - this is probably the most popular origami craft that many people can model. It would seem that what else can be invented new from this point of view. But this lesson is fundamentally different. First, we will learn to model not an ordinary small airplane, but a real flying fighter. This military machine is familiar to boys who are fond of this kind of equipment. In the process of work, they can not only create a unique toy, but also look for similarities and differences with the real machine. Secondly, to make an airplane here it is proposed to use not an ordinary white or colored sheet of paper, but a money bill - the real one, which has some value, limited by its denomination.
It is as easy to make an airplane out of a banknote as it is out of heavy paper, and maybe even easier, because the shape of the blank is perfect, it does not need to be trimmed or the corners adjusted. Practice for the beginning on a simple paper rectangle to perform all the folds, and then take up a fascinating and unusual work. After the work you will get a toy airplane, which will fly when launched through the air for long distances. And the bill will not spoil, because it is made of very dense, almost nerve-wracking paper.
To model the airplane, prepare:

  • a bill of any denomination;
  • instruction manual.

How to make a manigami airplane

1. Take a banknote and place it horizontally in front of you.

2. Make a clear horizontal fold along the rectangle.

3. Return the bill to its original horizontal position. Fold the two side corners at a 45-degree angle, joining clearly in the center.

4. Duplicate the fold in the same place, but emphasizing the sharper corner.

5. Fold the entire resulting construction in half vertically, pointing the sharp corner toward the opposite side and docking it at the center.

6. Flip over to make. Bend two corners off the folded line. But don't move them so that they dock in the center, but make an empty corner roughly in the center. Smooth the paper while folding so that it doesn't wrinkle and lends itself to folding.

7. Bend the blunt corner, which was created in the previous folding step, by approx. 0.8 cm.

8. Use your fingers to grasp the sharp corner at the bottom and pull it out to the side, while straightening the paper. The corner should turn into an even quadrilateral.

9. Now you need to shape the obtained blank into the shape of a fighter plane. Fold the whole construction that you have got in half lengthwise without unfolding the paper. Pull the side wings of the airplane upwards.

10. Now lower the side wings down so that they are perfectly flat.

11. The airplane will be ready when you smooth out the sides, and the tips can also be further lifted up to make the design more streamlined and fly well through the air.

Easy origami from a money bill - fighter plane - mounted. This is a craft for the soul or as a gift for a friend.
