Corrugated paper rose with candies

To make roses from paper, you will need a few materials and devices. This is an ideal gift for March 8 or birthday of your mom, sister, friend, especially since it is not difficult to make and quite fast.

So, we're gonna need:

Special corrugated paper for buds (in specialized craft stores, you can replace corrugated packaging for fresh flowers);
green colored or corrugated paper, is replaced for the stem by a more expensive option - special tape;
thin scotch tape;
regular sewing thread;
bamboo kebab sticks;
double-sided tape;
candy.

So, we take one candy bar and tape one side of the wrapper to the blunt end of the bamboo stick.

Cut corrugated paper for buds: for the center of the bud 8 cm x 7 cm, for petals 3-4 cm x 7 cm (width and length). Trim the edges with scissors, giving the shape of the petals.

Now you need to stretch the paper in the center with feeling so as not to tear it - bend the corners with a bamboo stick. One full rose requires 7-9 petals (as luck would have it).

Now put the stick with a candy in the middle of the 8x7 cm sheet stretched in the middle, take threads and wind a few turns - then follows each petal, winding 3-5 turns. Fix the last turn with thin tape and cut off the thread.

Prepare a piece of green paper: 5-7 cm x 8 cm (width and length). Cut out deep teeth on one side.

Cut a strip of 30-40 cm long and 1 cm wide - this is for the stem (wrap a bamboo stick, but you can also use a tape matched to the green paper). To fix the green paper on the head of the bud, use a piece of double-sided tape, attach a green piece of paper with teeth. Wrap the leaf, fix a long strip of 1 cm wide at the bud head and spiralize it.

The end at the bottom of the leg is also fixed with regular scotch tape - the rose with candy is ready!

To form a bouquet of roses with candy, you can use organza, beads, bows, ribbons, purchased in a regular store of sewing accessories.

The time to make the rose is about 15-20 minutes (starting from cutting the paper to wrapping the bamboo stick).
