Valentine's Day is the perfect occasion to do interesting creative work with children. They do not yet fully realize what love is, but they are happy to make little cards and crafts in the form of hearts. The brighter they will be, the better, because every child wants to impress adults and their peers. Ready miniature cards, trinkets, statuettes with bears and bunnies, balloons, flowers and hearts are sold in the store. But you want to do something original with your own hands. Of all possible materials for children's creativity the cheapest and most accessible is paper. We suggest making a bright valentine in the form of an application on cardboard. You can decorate the dense base with ordinary paper circles, using sheets of the same color or different shades.
To create a colorful valentine craft you will need:
• cardboard of any color;
 • sheets of brightly colored paper;
 • a simple pencil;
 • scissors;
 • lid, circle template, or circles;
 • glue.

How to make a Valentine's card step by step.

1. Prepare everything you need for the work. Cardboard you can cut out of any box, and sheets of colored paper take whole or leftovers from previous creative experiments. Take the most colorful paper from the set.

2. Draw a heart on the cardboard with a simple pencil. This part will be the basis of the future craft, so choose the size of the heart at once. If you can't draw an even sketch, use a template printed on a printer.

3. Using a small lid, a cardboard circle template or a circular, make many round coins from the prepared sheets of colored paper. There should be as many pieces as you need to decorate the cardboard heart.

4. Start gluing the circles onto the heart, smearing the back side with pencil glue. You can start at the top or bottom of the craft. Attach the coins overlapping, there should be no gaps. Alternate the blanks by color to get a variegated result.

5. Gradually fill the heart with circles, partially overlapping each successive piece with the previous one.

6. Fill the cardboard base completely with paper parts. Smooth out your beautiful craft.

7. Valentine's card is ready. On February 14, you can give it to one of your friends. You will see how surprised they will be.
