Making an octopus out of colored paper is very easy! Even a small child can cope with it. The only thing is that you should entrust the steps with scissors to older children or do it yourself, and the rest - the child will do on his own.

Materials needed:
- Light yellow and purple double sided half board or paper;
- stationery glue;
- scissors;
- ruler;
- black marker;
- a simple pencil;
- gray gel pen
Stages of making a paper octopus:

1. Our colored paper octopus will be purple. However, you can make it out of any shade of paper. Cut out a rectangle 12 x 9 cm.

2. Roll the cut rectangle into a tube and glue the edges horizontally together.

3. Take scissors and cut vertical lines to the middle of the octopus' torso.

4. Twist each piece with a marker or any other similar tool. The octopus tentacle legs are ready!

5. Place the tube on the base of the legs.

6. Now make the octopus' eyes. Cut out a couple of circles with scissors from light yellow double-sided cardboard.

7. Draw black pupils with a marker or felt-tip pen.

8. Glue the eyes on the torso.

9. Use a marker to add a nose, eyebrows and a smile. If you want, you can add any other details you think are missing.

10. Paint the tentacles with gray gel pen. Our colored paper octopus is ready! It will fit perfectly into the interior in the summer time or become a favorite character in the games of your child.
