Educational paper clocks for children

If your child has gone to first grade, he or she will soon be learning about clocks. During math lessons, children learn to recognize the correct time. It is good if parents provide for this fact in advance and buy a toy clock in a children's store. But more often it happens that the first-grader the night before the lesson says that he urgently needs a watch. In this case, parents can make such an educational simulator on their own from throwaway materials, and they will spend no more than 20 minutes on it.

Materials needed to make the clock:
- heavy cardboard from any package or desk calendar;
- scissors;
- glue;
- pen or pencil;
- a saucer or a circlet;
- sheets of white and colored paper;
- bolt and nut.
.

The process of making educational paper clocks

1. Prepare the materials needed for the work. If you have an old desk calendar, its thick cover can be used as a base for the clock.

2. You can cut out numbers from the same calendar, but you can also draw them yourself.

3 Cut a circle out of colored paper using a circular or saucer.

4. Make a graduation on the future colored dial by mentally dividing the circle into 12 sections.

5. Cut out a square from heavy cardboard, decorate the throwaway material with white paper, then glue the dial.

6. Start gluing the numbers on. Glue 3, 6, 9 and 12 on at once.

7. Next, spread the rest of the numbers evenly around the circle.

8. Cut out two arrows from black cardboard.

9. Find the center point on the circumference of the dial and attach the hands, securing them with a bolt and nut.

These are such educational clocks. The advantage of such a clock is that the child will be able to independently turn the hands and set the right time.
