If you are interested in interesting and unusual creativity - modular origami, then you should definitely start with the easiest crafts to get involved, to train your hand to quickly fold modules, and also to see the result yourself in the future. We offer another lesson for beginners. You have a great opportunity to once again trace how the modules are made, how they are folded into a single composition, how they can be combined by color and close, say, in a ring. It is the modular ring that we are going to talk about.
This ring is presented in black and white color. The craft will be a great decoration for a gift box, an applique or can be used in any other way. But also the colors are not difficult to replace, for example, using details of the colors of the flag of the country in which you live, or the colors of the emblem, which is dear to you. Girls will like a pink ring, and children will like a bright yellow or orange ring.
To create a ring using the modular origami technique, prepare:

  • sheets of paper of a color you are interested in (here we used 2 sheets of paper - white and black);
  • a tool that can be used to cut the paper evenly - scissors or a box cutter.

How to make modules and a ring from them
1. The ring prepared by you can be one-, two-, three-color and even more (multicolor). No one forbids to make generally rainbow crafts from the most different shades.

2. To make the ring offered here as an example, you need to use only 46 modules - 23 white and the same number of black. Thus, the paper should be pre-cut and counted as many rectangular blanks as needed to make the craft. Usually for the creation of small modules use heavy paper, and the size of the initial blanks is 1/32. Cut out 32 rectangles from two sheets of paper (white and black). Then select 23 pieces from each of them.

3. So, once again, we remind you how the modules are put together. This scenario for the production of this craft you will have to repeat 46 times. Fold the rectangle in half along the long side.

4. Then fold the resulting strip in half again, but crosswise.

5. Unfold the previous fold. Now fold the strip into a house, combining the opposite sides in the center.

6. Turn the other side over. Fold the protruding corners into a heart shape. Then fold in the tabs. Fold the resulting triangle in half. You will get a triangular module consisting of two pockets.

7. Make 23 each of the double angled pocket modules out of white (regular office) and black (double-sided) paper.

8. Start inserting the corners of one module into the pockets of the other. Alternate the pieces by color. Also turn the sharp corners in different directions. Put 2 pieces together first, pulling them through to the stop.

9. Now insert the white module into the black module and then the black module again.

10. Assemble a necklace of sorts with 46 pieces.

11. Attach the ends in the same way, inserting the corners of one module into the pockets of the other.

Now you won't have any questions about how to stack the little modules for fun work.
