A little manigami boat

• a piece of paper the size of a bill;
• the money bill itself.

A guide to folding a manigami ship

1. This folding guide will help you in your work. We suggest initially practicing on a simple sheet of paper, so that in the future to accurately make all the folds. Now let's move on to the folding technique already on the bill, so that it is clearly visible how to carry out the process.

2. Make a small quadrilateral with an area equal to ¼ of the area of the entire bill. Fold the piece initially in the center along the long side, then the narrow piece along the short side. Smooth it out.

3. Return the last vertical fold to the original position. Turn the narrow rectangle (double folded piece) into a corner. Orienting on the center vertical line, bring the two sides down, adjoining the halves of one (top) side in the center.

4. Pull one side and the other side out, smoothing the paper, referring to the photo. Push it inward. Photo 4 shows the right side pressed inward, the left side pressed sideways.

5. As a result, you should have a similar angular piece of the house, but the sides (walls of the house) will be brought inside under the roof.

6. Turn the right side to the left (top layer only) so that the blind wall of the house is in the center. Turn the piece to the other side and do the same.

7. Fold one part of the house. Lift up the sides at an angle so that a rhombus is formed together with the original roof corner.

8. Turn over to the other side and do the same. Fold the second layer at some angle, layering the corners of the bill on top of each other.

9. Now turn the paper over again, as if it were a notebook page. The model of the ship is already traced. You need to return to the previous state, but now the side parts will become sails. If you folded the two parts at different angles, the sails will be different sizes. That's what you're trying to achieve.

10. All that remains is to make the shape of the boat itself more streamlined (for now, it's a corner). Lift the bottom part horizontally upwards, smooth it out.

11. Turn the piece over. The manigami boat is ready.
