Paper star box

Preparing for any holiday, it is necessary to take care of gifts, table setting, and room decor. A successful solution to all these issues will be a box-star, made with your own hands from paper. It is ideal as a stand for Easter eggs and for serving sweets (cakes or candies).

To make such a model of origami is not difficult at all, and therefore even children can be entrusted with its folding.

What will it take?

- a square piece of paper (any color);
- 5-7 minutes of free time.

Progress

1. Fold the square sheet diagonally.
2. Fold the resulting triangle in half.
3. Prepare lines for folds by folding the sides of the triangle in half (to do this, lift the side corners to the top corner).
4. Then on the obtained folds it is necessary to make two pockets.
5. This will result in a double square (the basic origami figure).
6. After that, fold the sides in one of the squares formed.

7. Bottom to center.
8. Turn the figure over and do the same with the second square.
9. Unfold the pockets from the long sides of the irregular rhombus.
10. This results in 4 unfolded pockets (two on one side and two on the other).
11. Fold and unfold the top corner of the figure to get the fold needed for the next steps.
12. Unfold the workpiece with the pockets inward.

13. Repeat the fold and fold of the top corner again. In this way we prepare the square bottom of the future box.
14. From the sharp corner to the center, fold the sides.
15-16. Repeat this action for all sides of the figure, resulting in an irregular rhombus again.
17.Bend the long side of the rhombus to its center.
18. The first "petal" of the box is ready.

19. Turn the figure over and fold back the second "petal" in the same way.

20. After that, open the box and fold back the two remaining petals.

That's it, the star box is ready!

If you wish, you can decorate this model, for example, glue rhinestones on the ray petals, paint its sides with original patterns or memorable inscriptions. Although the box looks very well even in a laconic form.
