Origami whales

It is necessary to learn the wonderful world of origami from the easiest objects, copies of unique animals, birds, flowers. And the schemes are very different in complexity. This lesson presents a very simple origami scheme for assembling a whale from paper. You will have to make only a few uncomplicated steps to get the planned figure. And children 3-4 years old will also cope with this work. To make one origami whale figure, you will need these materials:

• A square of colored paper of any shade - brown paper was used in this lesson;
• Scissors to cut out this square if you don't have pre-made sheets to assemble;
• 2 pebbles are sticky on the back side.

1. First of all, you need to prepare a square piece of paper. You can choose its size at your discretion. The paper should be soft, well crumpled and hold its shape. It is desirable that the sheet was the same color on both sides. Fold the square diagonally in half. If you cut the right piece with exactly the same sides, you will perfectly join the opposite corners.

2. Unfold the paper. After you make the first fold, you will have a line - a diagonal fold. Fold the two sides adjacent to it in the center. Tuck the paper in the places of new folds. After that, the square does not need to be unfolded. At this stage, you will have a quadrilateral with a sharp corner.

3. Now point one corner, which has remained unchanged, to the point where the two corners of the former square meet. As a result, you will have a pentagon in front of you, one vertex of which is narrow and long

4. Fold the piece in half lengthwise, keeping all the previous folds in place. You should have a long whale body.

5. The only thing left to do is one more little touch - to lift up the tip of the tail. Just bend the sharp tip of the paper at an angle of 45 degrees. The figure you are looking for is ready.

6. And it will remain to glue on both sides small eyes, for which we prepared pebbles.
