The most enjoyable thing to do on Valentine's Day is to exchange hearts. You can buy cute Valentine's cards at the store and sign them as if they were postcards, or you can create them yourself. One of the available ways is the technique of torcetting, which allows you to get quite a cute heart from throwaway materials. Such a product can be given separately or used as a decoration for a bouquet or a gift box. Have patience and get down to the exciting work, guided by the photo instructions in this article.
1. Take a piece of any cardboard as a base, even an old shoebox or other discarded material will do. Use a circular or hand draw a heart on the paper, then cut it out with scissors.
2. Soft paper is required for drawing. Napkins or corrugated paper will do. It is desirable that the color of the material is close to red. Cut the chosen paper into thin strips, it is not necessary for the edges to be even.
3. To attach the surface decoration you need glue. It is best to use semi-liquid PVA, which does not dry immediately, so it allows you to adjust the details. Apply glue to the surface of the heart.
4. Thread each strip of paper onto a rod or skewer.
5. Carefully attach the end of the twisted part to the glue layer.
6. Fill the entire cardboard space with glue and place the round pieces close together.
7. Fill the whole heart with corrugated paper, leave it for a few hours until the glue is completely dry.
Such a handicraft, made by yourself, will please your loved one on Valentine's Day.
